Inner Circle UPDATE, and a free path to "Paid"

Hey subscribers! How'd you like a free upgrade to "paid"? Here are a couple of announcements you really need to know about.

I'm introducing a new subscription tier, and I'm offering free subscribers a path to be upgraded at no cost. Here's the rundown, then the details.

Engaged free subscribers will be upgraded to a paid Inner Circle plan for free.
New membership tiers: $1/month (the original Inner Circle experience) and $1.99/month (same experience, but includes extra perks

The Details

There's a new Inner Circle plan for $1/month, and the existing "Plus" plan, still at 1.99/month. While the money helps, the most important thing to me isn't the money, it's the relationship. So here's the plan for free members who aren't able to pay for either plan:

Free Members (That's most of you)

Members who usually open at least half of the emails they've received from me in the past 2 months or more will be upgraded to the Inner Circle for free. At that level of engagement, you signal that you are in my Inner Circle, and I'm going to start acknowledging that by upgrading your account to "Inner Circle" status.

That upgrade will be to the new $1/month tier (but for free) and it's the same Inner Circle experience you'd already known, before I had a price tag on it.

Newsletter (No spam, no nonsense)
Exclusive commentary, "Uncomfortably Correct" - My personal column. It's bold. Unpredictable. Unmistakably FireBranded.

This will involve manually auditing my subscriber list, it won't be automatic. So be patient with the process. I'll do this audit about once a week, or every two weeks.

Current Paid members

The existing $1.99/month plan you're on hasn't changed, but I'm refining the benefits a bit.

Exclusive weekly commentary, "Uncomfortably Correct" (No change. I've just put a name to that exclusive piece)
Bonus video and audio — Same content that my YouTube channel members get. Exclusive episodes, extended segments, Q&As
Occasional Inner Circle Exclusives — Writing, or extra podcasts (News Briefs, Live Sessions, etc) that you won’t get from the public FireBranded feed. Produced once or twice a month

This new strategy helps me to prioritize the relationship I want to have with you, and keeps lurkers and abusers of the membership tier out of the Inner Circle.
